Recipie Section Sugestion

I think you should have a seperate recipie section, like you did with the clasifieds so that people can search through the recipies and see only complete recipies without having to wade through threads of questions about them and other questions generally related to feeding.

It would also be handy if you could search the section by bird type and ingredients.

e.g. search for recipies suitable for budgies, or recipies containing bananas.

I dont know how hard this would be to do, but I was going to try looking for some recipies to make my cockatiel. But there are so many other threads to search through as well in the recipe section, I thought it might be a good idea to sugest this.

Apologies if it allready has been sugested.

Recipes that are good for conures and macaws can also be good for budgies and tiels! Yeah, okay so a few things may need to be changed, and of course it would be in smaller proportions... I like that idea too!

Very true, but I was thinking maybe some kind of boxes could be ticked when the recipies were posted or something to say what birds they were for. Not really nessecary though, it would just be really cool to be able to go through all the recipies in one section with just the recipies so you can find one you want to try really easily and then go shopping for ingredients ^_^

That's a good suggestion. Each recipe should first include a shopping list of ingredients, and then assembly instructions. It should include yield and storage suggestions, too. As for being species related, not sure how that would work for I feed all of my birds the same stuff from the quaker on up to the GW. Just different portion sizes.

You could then actually print out the recipes and make your own birdie cookbook.

my kitchen sink recipe is fed to everybody here...sennie to macaw with no moderations. The 'extras' come from supplements for the bigger guys..in the form of nuts and other different foods...

Might also be a good idea if one could get a photo of the food so that everyone else can see what it'll look like!
