Another sugestion.... Speech Training

I dont know if this would be a site feature or not but I was thinking of seeing if it would be possible to get people to submit mp3 files of their birds talking so that other people could download them and play them to their birds, sort of like the speech training cds you can buy.

I would be willing to voulenteer to edit audio files etc... to make the words repeat or whatever, what do you think?

EDIT: I was thinking of any other sounds, whistles, noises etc... besides just words.

I like that idea.... However you can do that currently with the photoalbum, It will allow media files ie mp3's and etc as far as I know, So all i have to do is setup a voice/calls/whistles section. I do know that video files are working fine.

If you go to the photo album and search for Abbey, you'll find a budgie that's talking in there!

Alot of the files on there are quick time which you cant play (if you dont have quick time) and cannot download unless you have quick time pro. I was thinking of some way to make it easier to make cds and stuff out of them but I'll have a look through all the videos and edit them myself IF I can get them to download.

they are not nessarily quick time.... most are AVI files and quicktime is your pc's defult player for that format. Window media can play them if you tell it to play the avi's

You don't need quicktime pro to download the quicktime movies... You should though try downloading the newest Windows Media Player 10...

Windows Media Player 10
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...0/default.aspx

Quicktime 7 (comes with iTunes 6 - just get the download on the left side of the screen as that one is free)
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

If you can get both of them, then you should be able to play all media in the photo album... I have both and have no problems... and will sometimes use WMP 10 to burn CD's (if I have any cd's to burn on that is..)

I have WMP 10, but HATE qicktime with a passion and refuse to clutter up my PC with it. I have quick time on my mac (which I am using now) and can view the videos on here, but I cannot save them to my HD. It says I have to have quick time pro in order to do so.

I just thought it would be easier if there was a speech training section with mp3's as everyone can play these. *shrugs*

I have no problem downloading the files that say 'VIDEO' But I cant download the 'Quicktime movie's
