I imagine that all the ads are from & to the people who live in the US.
But even these people would benefit if one of the first things they saw in the ad were where they are located.
ie: type of bird, age, place........description
edit: & object(cage/toy), place ...decscription

Maybe other members could use this section too.
- perhaps subsections sections marked Aussie/N.Z., Cdn., Europe & friends, Asia (big area I know!...)??? ….. Or just ‘other’.

Well, just to add on one more thing... I think we need at least one more ads section for "Birds Wanted"... or else they all go under 'other'.

? Birds Wanted? Birds Available? Need a Bird. Looking for a Bird. etc...all of which seem to have an unconfortable effect upon many...you my dear cautiously opened a 'touchy' subject for many~
Seeking ,selling,searching,having,raising,wanting,needing, buying,giving,saving,rehoming,bargaining,taking,gi ving,bartering,rescuing,etc,,,etc,,,the list is never-ending it seems. The use of such words always manage to cause disarray in the bird frame of mind people have today[especially on birdboards...Strange how people always feel quite comfy in sharing & bragging abbout what feathered ones they already have, even without any drilling questions, most people who already have feathered ones are 'A-OK' in most everyones books. Double standards was something that never quite set well with me...nor does the good ol 'self_made' rule tactics that tend to run rampid like an infectious disease when certain subjects arise. Nice thought there Monica, but then again I usually do admire with respect the way that inquisitive mind of yours works! Now, before the ammo gets aimed my way...I made my own lil rule for this topic(because I can~)~ Rule is: "Nope, smurfy doesn't want to play!" I was just talking with Monica here today.

I've been noticing 'bird wanted' ads, and sometimes I don't like them either, but if it's legit, and someones actually looking for a pet, not some 'free pet' they can later resell, then there wouldn't be too much problems... But seeing as how we dont have one of those sections people shouldn't be posting them, but they ARE... so... guess something needs to be done in one way or another...

If there are any ads for Birds Wanted looking for freebies, please PM one of the mods and we will delete it. It's OK to look for specific species if one is willing to pay a reasonable price. Just no "bird begging".

I do agree we should have some kind of location indicator in the ads. This would need to be a script written by Kevin. In the meanwhile, if you are interested in a bird that's for sale, just PM the advertiser.
