Policy on "bird Beggars" ??

Does Birdboard have any policy set forth for allowing (or disallowing) folks "begging" or trolling for free birds, either in the classifieds area, or in any of the forums?

Bird beggars and bird hoarders are a H-U-G-E pet peeve of mine... :eusa_naug
And, more often than not, beggars *are* hoarders as well.

(and we've got one trolling for free birds right now in the "rescue / lost n found" forum)

nothing place yet... we are still trying to get the site up to full strength before we can address all the issues and features members want and we would like to offer...

But your point is very valid so we will have to put that on the drawing table.

I was just coming here to post the same question. I agree with Savvy. I have a real problem with this also!

In the past we have not allowed this; hopefully once the bugs are worked out of the new system this can be addressed!

I think us mods need more guidelines on what we should be deleting or moving. Obvious OT stuff for example a more social post in Bird Talk that belongs in the Lounge is one thing, but I am not sure what I should be getting rid of. We CAN delete those kinds of posts if we are allowed to. I saw a dodgy post the other day but wasn't sure so I PMd Kevin and he deleted it.

Several weeks back I came up with a list of questions one should
ask of these so-called "Rescue" folks eagerly looking to take in birds...
I know Tritak and a few other people added to the list of questions and considerations I started out with... it was a good list.

Any idea where that list went and can it be posted again?
I *may have* saved it somewhere in my documents, but I'm not sure,
I'll have to hunt around.
Anyone else save it by chance?
