I think I remembered you talking about finding a way to raise money for the upkeep of BirdBoard. Have you looked into iGive? It's a site where you can do online shopping through hundreds of vendors and a percentage of the sale goes to a charity that you choose. I use is for Avian Health Network to Stop PDD right now, but I got an email with an updated list of checks sent to my charity and I thought of BirdBoard. I mean, most of us do online shopping anyway, we may as well be supporting our most beloved web master, right?

Laura...that is ideally an awesome way of supporting a site (especially one like BirdBoard.com, cause it IS INDEED THE BEST of the BEST!) ...However, to do so., doesn't one have to apply as a "non_profit org" ??? That way you are out of the IRS attack etc??? I am not sure, BUT I can say that from ALL my birds photo wins...I donate all $$$ & gift certificates to such (non_profit sites) ~ ONLY option...one must be legally listed as non_profit...they even have such site to verify ones 'non_profit' LEGAL status. This is both good & detrimental for some...it DOES insure that whatever is given...it indeed DOES go to the requested & qualified source! Kinda keeps the 'jerks' in our world from stealing good intentions from those of us who 'assume' we have given to exactly where we intended so....Keev...I don't mean to throw a monkey_wrench into this idea...BUT I do believe this is most beneficial & protective of you & your administrators AND PRIMARILY this awesome site! You may need to research the non_profit thing a bit further....remember to ALWAYS cross your "T's" & dot your "i's"....to avoid grief later....the SHYNE FOUNDATion are awesome people IF you decide you may need some guidance in this area...Bob & Liz are wonderful...let me know IF you need any assistance regarding this AWESOME idea...I am TOTALLY in support of this site...surely you know you have a lil smurfiness on your side 'eh?? LOL
