Help with Avatar

Not sure if this is the place to put this but here goes. No matter what size I change my picture to when I try and put it as my avatar it says it's too big. Even when I make it the smallest size. Can someone help me?

LOL I guess you got it worked out didn't you? That's a cute little birdie you've got as your avitar.

Yes but some people's are bigger, but I did manage to get it up there

when you edit your picture, edit it in a photo program..when you resize your picture, resize it by using pixel size, rather than inches or cm. This way you can adjust it to just under the 80 x 80 pixel size requirement.
