Here is an article on the product reviews... don't really like how it came out but haven't figured out how to actually make it better, so to speak, so I might end up changing it later... Unless someone else would like to add to it?

Product Reviews

‘Product Reviews’ is for general information and any pros or cons of using a product. When writing a review on a product, no opinions should be made about the specific product (i.e. ‘overall great product to use’, or ‘looks nice’). Comments and opinions can be made in the ‘Quick Reply’ box after the product itself has been posted, just remember to keep to the subject of the product itself.

If you would like to write a review, you can do so by clicking on "Upload Products" at the top of the ‘Product Review’ page (just under the BirdBoard toolbars and on the right hand side). Once you are at the ‘Upload Products’ page, there is a drop down menu to choose the general item for the product being reviewed. Select the most appropriate place for the product (Bird Cages, Bird Toys, Bird Media, Bird Supplies & Misc.) and hit ‘Submit’.

On the next page, there are several blank boxes to fill out. For the best reviews, fill them out appropriately and completely.

The first box is for the name of the manufacturer. (i.e. Kings Cages or Nutro)

The second box is for the product model name (i.e. Cage ELM-40P)

The following six boxes below that are for images. Including at least one image of the product helps to identify it and helps other people to give their general review about the product if they wish. Using the "Browse" button, you can select a file off of your computer (may need to find an image of the product on the internet and save it to your hard-drive if you don’t have one of your own) to upload and you have the option to upload several.

Under images, there is a box for keywords that can help users to quickly search for a product that already has a review. (i.e. large macaw cage)

The ‘Product Description’ box is meant for a more detailed description on the product and is not meant for any opinions. In this area you can describe it’s efficiency, general price, where to find, and any pros or cons to the product itself.

Once having filled in all the areas appropriately, click ‘Upload/Submit’. Any files you have included for the product will be uploaded, and the review will be posted.



If however you would like to write a review of your own on a product already listed, or write a review WITH your opinions to a product you just listed, you can do so by clicking on the specified product of your choice and going down to ‘Quick Reply’.

Under quick reply you can rate the product (on efficiency, size, the build of it, etc), give your own pros or cons of the particular product at hand, whether or not you would recommend the product itself, and an area where you can write your own review and give opinions about the product.
