Oh ya, it's been removed HOURS before his post even (like 11 hours before they complained of it).

If they're hearing sounds still; it's due to their web browser "caching" the old version (which is an odd way to configure your browser in the first place). You need to refresh/clear your browser cache. It's the only way to get it cleared out so that the new one will reload without the sound.

For those of us who don't have our browsers setup to "cache" graphics and such of web pages, it's been gone since about 1pm Mountain Time (for almost 13 hours since I wrote this post).

Please if you have any other problems or troubles with the board... Please let us know and we'll do what we can to assist.

Thanks again!

Ok, but now its playing music for President's Day. I hate to sound grumpy, but I also listen to music while reading online, and forcing visitors to mute or hear auto-play music is annoying.

Also, to my knowledge, you can't specify firefox to cache the site without caching the graphics.

Yeah, I have had to turn my sound off to eliminate the bird sounds. Thank you for taking it out; now I hope it won't do that any more, including other music for President's Day, etc.

I've since now removed the "Hail to the chief..." music from the logo. It was originally coded to only every play "once" by cookie-ing your machine so that it new to never play again. I think that some web browsers are setup with pretty strick security that was preventing the cookie creation/read. I'll try to remember that in future logo and site developments so that it doesn't hinder users future experiences online.

Thank you to all of you who expressed your opinions - positive or negative - about the changes.

I missed this, but I gotta say that this sort of thing could get people in trouble if they log on at work.
