What breeder? Do they have a website? I got my toucanet from Emerald Forest Bird Gardens. I want to get another as soon as I have the money for it.

Prices are highly variable depending on species, what breeder you get them from, and if they are young and hand fed birds.

my emerald toucanet was about $1200.

These prices are just from what I've seen in online classifieds, and occasionally on breeder websites (most of them you have to call to find out prices)

The smaller species usually are within the range of $1000-$2000, with some of the less common species being more.

Occasionally you might find an emerald, or red rumped toucanet for under a $1000, but chances are it's not tame, or it's an older bird (young hand fed birds usually cost more). I see toucanets that weren't hand fed for $700-$800 sometimes. You'll be lucky to find a tame young bird for under a grand.

The larger toucans tend to be around $3000-$6,000 depending on species, but I think I've seen some species being closer to $10,000 (can't remember which).

They are quite expensive birds, but for their rarity in captivity they really aren't high priced.

So for me they would be about 3000- 4000 dollars or more cos im from Australia so they would double the american or wherever dollar plus it would be really rare to get one here. hmm.. the hyacinth macaws go for around $50000 aussie dollars cos there are only about 20 in Australia...WHY DOESNT AUSTRALIA HAVE MORE BIRDS!!!! We get the lories that squirt ya with their poo.
