Jolly balls

Hi

I think my caique would love one of these:

However...they seems to cost at least $40 !!! Does anyone know where you can get this type of balls so I can make my own ??

Thanks,
Jenn

I thought of that, but it will be too small for a caique.

I found a website that has them for $25 and they look well made. I am thinking about getting one to hang from the ceiling above my caique's cage.

Cool Beings... Would you mind sharing that website? I'd like to look into these myself.

You can buy your own 'core' ball for 18, it has SS hangers and such already. Then you can just string it yourself!

Hide N Peek Balls, bird toys

Huh, I just noticed there prices increased. A large used to only be about 17-18 dollars.

For your caique you would need at least an 8 inch if not a 10 inch.

Go to this page and look at Rocky, my Hahn's Macaw, in his 10 inch jolly ball. Rocky the Hahn's Macaw This will give you an idea of what size you will need.

Horse stores sell jolly balls as well.

Yeah, because Jolly Balls were invented for horses. If you ever get to see a horse playing with one, it's very cute.

Look in feed stores, and also in pet stores in the ferret/small animal section.

Online bird stores charge soooooooooo much for these balls it's insulting.

You can go to the DIY thread and look at Atom balls -- make it any size because you set the amount of flexible pipe you use (or smaller circular hoops) and then add the toys all around. This would give you a neat toy to hang up in the desired size.
