Resist the urge to go with acrylic or very hard woods to make them last longer. Often when birds get hormonal they can really go nuts chewing. It's good for them, bad for your pocketbook. Try as suggested toys for a slightly bigger bird and save as many pieces as you might be able to salvage to restring or tie onto playstands or something. Just say to yourself "Thank God she's not a Greenwing," the toy I purchased for her was $65 and lasted 3 days. Try to look for toys designed to be refillable where you can buy parts, many toys like that available online. Bird Stores just want to keep you coming back!
