Tinkertoys

The other day at work, we got in Tinkertoys. I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on using these to make bird toys. They are colored so I know that I have to look at the package and see if the dyes are safe.

Here is a link to the webpage of Tinkertoys:

Any advice is much appreciated.

tinker toy die has to be safe cause kids put them in their mouth, im a 59 year old proof, i ate lots of tinker toys, just ask my mom.
i just bought the large box, not long ago. 35 bucks + tax. i was able to make only 2 toys. its cheeper to buy bird toys, or make your own tinker toys. see jim pearce's thread on this forum. he drills his own.

I do love the idea of making toys from TinkerToys, though.

I got a big bag of tinker toys at the goodwill store for $3! I've made lots of toys from them without any problems.

Hubby has something like that for the quaker. He got it in the local bird store. Brockman loves to rip it apart.
