Hemp toys are Fun! I even made a ladder!

So I used to love making hemp necklaces and bracelets when I was in girl scouts so Naturally when I found out that hemp was safe for birds I put my skills to use making toys for my fids!

This one has to be my favorite! I made this little rope latter for seymour to play on.


Here are 3 of ChenChen's out of cage toys. He loves the ones that hang in his cage more though.



And this is just show the flat knot style of braiding hemp which can be usefull for all kinds of things!


If anyone is interested I could post a kind of step-by-step thing on how to go about braiding hemp (it's actually VERY easy).

I've also thought about selling hemp toys (some of the better more elaborate ones, that is) but i was unsure if anyone would be interested what do you guys think?

Oh, I love it. I would love to know how to braid hemp and also where do you purchase your hemp rope?

Everything that I used to make those toys all came from Wal-Mart :). You can find natural hemp in the craft department along with value (AKA Cheap) packs of beads and the stick for the ladder rungs are just lollipop stick that you can buy in the wedding portion of the craft area.

I found natural hemp in my craft store but the strings are so small and thin! I will search online and check Walmart as well! Thanx
