more diy toys

I spent a little bit on some parts online.... and a SS wire whisk from walmart... and a huge ball of natural hemp.

"THE CHEWSTICK" Soft wood, crunch balls, and natural loofa sponge thing cut up into chunks. Strung on the whisks wire.

Learning to forage from these shapes.... I'll remake this w/ lids eventually

Less destructable... keys, bell, foraging pot w/ lid.

Another slightly less destructible toy:

Leather knots & wood stars:

Spoiled bird.

Omelettus: LOL, they ARE from kids toys.

My kids are 3 & 4yo... they outgrew the shape sorter Vtech bus, so I stole the shapes.

I've made a few more too... :)

The one on the left is a Peanutbutter jar lid... I mounted it to the side of the cage.
The middle one is 4 ketchup cups (plain paper) from Arbys, Cat balls w/ plastic jingles, and crunch balls.
The one on the right is a bendy ladder made from wire from a SS Whisk, poly beads, and Popsicle sticks.

This one is just nuts... she's scared of it so far. (the cups are plastic SHOT GLASSES... lol)

and here is the PVC gym I've been working on...

The playgym is still in a constant state of reconstruction. :) For some 'unknown' reason I keep making it bigger and bigger. Hung new toys on it too. (whats hung on there in the pic are leftovers from old toys, i hadn't made any in a while)

I need to get a bunch of wood dowels for the gym.... holly isn't very fond of the 1/2in PVC and thats as small as it goes. I think vet wrap will help, but I haven't found any yet.

When I got my birdie I didn't realize I was also getting a fun hobby. :)

I wish I had the sense to make something like that. I keep looking at stuff in the stores and online thinking I will make my birds toys. Next thing you know I'm back at the pet store buying HEHE. You did a great job.

Nice looking stuff Bucky and I are forever making toys. Our conure still out chews both the macaws put together but they are getting better. They still have days where they will just sit on their perches and just watch. :-s
