Thrift Store Finds

Went to the local thrift store the other day. I found 2 bags with 2 heart shaped grape vines for $2. One bag of pineapple shaped wood designs made out of poplar for .30. One roll of curly ribbon for .30. Two tropical straw hats for $1. One hawaiian grass skirt for $2.

My GreenWing is afraid of the hats, so I am going to cut them up.
I'd like to warn everyone, that the grass skirt made out of palm had a scent of perfume on it. I am going to hose it off on my clothes line before using it.

They also have baby toys too.

Our thrift stores are worth checking out.

I found awesome toys at my salvation army here, tons of toys for 50 cents each. Those yellow buckets with the top with different shape holes in it and the corresponding shapes are great fun for them, and so many other things too.

Little concerned about the scented grass skirt though....couldn't the palm have soaked in the perfume? I don't know that washing will fix it....

My local op shop (thrift store) has lots of baby rattles, squeeky things and balls, great toys for parrots....just clean them in dilute bleach as babies carry nasty gram negative bugs, so you need to decontaminate.
