Alexs scream morning and night. It's their natural behaviour. Maybe the breeder responded after 3 times and it has grown used to people responding at that time? Don't think there is much luck of making him stop, your lucky its only 3 times lol.

What holidays are you celebrating in Oz?

A bird's natural instinct is to scream when the sun first comes up. It's a way to let the flock know he's okay and ready to start the day.

I don't know why your Alex stops after three screeches. It's pretty cute IMHO, so you'd better get to sleep earlier in anticipation of that "rude" awakening every morning!

Count your blessings! My conures start up at 5 AM.That's an hour and 1/2 BEFORE dawn here. They hear my husband leave for work and they think I need to be up too.
