Freeflying in San Diego Today

For those of you in the San Diego area who were interested in seeing Hugh's macaws fly, we'll be at La Jolla Shores beach this afternoon with Otis and Gizmo, and their in-training pals Annie and Carly.

We'll probably get there around 2:30-3:00. There is a big parking lot next to the beach and we're generally on the beach around the lifeguard tower, between the parking lot and Sea Lodge. Just listen for the loud macaws and a beeping Grey!


To La Jolla Shores beach: From I-5 take La Jolla Parkway to La Jolla Shores Dr (right) then turn left on Vallecitos, right on Camino del Oro.

Oh man I would love to come and see that but I am without transportation as the wife has the car and I can't get anywhere all by my lonesome.
Plus It's "one of those days" to boot, so ...
But please be so kind and take plenty of pictures for us.

Oh, sorry you missed us Dana! We must have got there right about the time you left. We were delayed because we met up with some friends at the Prado in Balboa Park for lunch, and the traffic and parking there were nuts (holiday weekend. I think we parked at least a mile away.) Next time I'll post my cell phone number!


We have pictures and video, so I'll ask Hugh to post some.
