Sounds like he's just beaking you. He's exploring with his beak, which is not a behavioral problem; in fact it's probably a sign of affection. You just want to make sure you let him know when he starts putting too much pressure. Take your hand away if he's applying too much pressure and tell him "be gentle"... he'll catch on. "Punishment" isn't very effective to stop biting in any case, so you want to reward him for being gentle and stop playing if he gets too nippy, distracting him by drawing his attention to something else.
