What's most important in "clicker" training isn't actually the clicker. It's the method of rewarding the animal for the desired behavior and ignoring everything else. Also important is working in small steps. For example, to teach a bird to come, start by rewarding it when it steps up from right next to you. Then move a few inches away. Then move a few feet, etc. |
