Screaming if she's not on me;

My sun conure will not stop screaming if she is in the same room, and not on my shoulder. Sometimes I just don't have the time or patience to have her on my shoulder at all hours of the day that I'm doing work (I do graphic design so I'm on my computer a lot). I can't move her out of the room, but I do move her toys around (she has lots, too), she has tons of stuff to do, but will not stop the continuous screaming unless she is on my shoulder. I can understand if it's in the morning or at night, but this is throughout the day. There's no reason for her to be doing this.

Will a clicker work? I've checked out sites, and they say to just ignore it if nothing is wrong, but I just can't, and she won't stop no matter how long I'm in here. This needs to be stopped fast. :[

buy ear plugs and ignore her when she's screaming - sun conures are LOUD (that's nothing new), and if the bird is used to being the center of attention at all times, they will of course scream, especially if it gets them their way...

when i was writing my thesis, i worked at home - after the morning routine (which should exist just like if you'd leave the house for work if you can't interact with her all day long), the boys went into their cages.... mind you, i was sitting 2m away from valo's cage on my desk... after about 30min of complaints (which didn't get them anything), they turned quiet and went about what they usually do when i'm gone for work... look for their treats in their foraging toys, peck this toy, hit the other toy, grab a bite to eat and so forth... they were quiet for hours at a time this way

My sun is the same way. He will scream when I first come home if I am not paying him any mind, but after a short bout of screaming, like maybe 15 minutes he stops, one of my tiels on the other hand will not stop no matter how long I ignore her, she is absolutely relentless. I find the Tiel call far more irritating then the others and she does not get the picture. The only way to stop her is to either pick her up or cover her cage for a little while. I usually do the latter. I was down in my workshop yesterday which is directly under the bird room and she did not stop about 3 hours straight.

Just don't give in. My grey will try to get out of his cage for hours straight and make that annoying baby cry..."eep eep beeeeep!" It's hard to watch and listen to, so most of the time I shut the door or go somewhere until he settles down. Somedays he wont do it at all. Eventually it'll go away when they realize they won't get their way like that. We only let wall-e out when he's quiet.
