Help with quaker!

Bobbie is the best thing ever, but I'm not sure what to do about this situation. A few months ago she went through a stage where she intentionally tried to harm my husband- ripping hairs out of his beard and hair, ripping skin off his fingers, etc. She seemed to get over it and life went on as usual. We recently had the opportunity to move to a nice apartment, and once we did, the bad behavior came back to a somewhat lesser degree. Any guesses as to the reason behind this? How do I stop this behavior? Has anyone else dealt with similar behavior? She is about eight months old, so I don't really know if it would be a hormone thing or not. Any insight would be appreciated.

I have not seen this behavior out of our Quaker, but I have seen it out of our Zon and Alexandrine. I figured it was due to the environment change inducing a stress related reaction. If anything is moved or added to the surrounding area it tends to happen for a few days. I can't even imagine how long they would throw their little fits if we moved them to a whole new place. I would just give it some time. It might be his way of telling you that he does not approve of you moving the flock nest without his permission.

Well, odhinn is right, but our quaker did seem to go through a rather hormonal period at around 8 months where he really didn't like being picked up or played with much. He's much better now but man that little bugger was a turd. lol

I haven't had any experience with this but I would guess it could be the same as a bird mutilating or attacking another bird in the cage or household with it, since I thik they see the house (including the humans) as one big bird flock.

Thank you everyone for your responses. Bobbie's tantrums are subsiding and things are starting to go back to normal. Maybe it was the move? Or maybe she's hormonal? Or maybe both? Anyway, my baby's acting much better. Thanks guys.
