Book suggestions?
Hey all,
I was thinking of getting a bird training book. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've got a Bird Tricks DVD, and quite like clicker training, and am open to other methods. I'd really like something that'd teach me how to deal with birdie puberty. That's where we came undone with our cockatiel... he went nuts for no reason, suddenly, and we didn't know how to deal with it. I do have more of an idea now, but I'd really like more info on the subject. Don't want to mess up my little conure. Thanks, ~Jules :) |

This one is excellent: Amazon.com: Clicker Training for Birds (Getting Started): Melinda Johnson: Books The author is one of the owners of the Bird-Click yahoo group at Bird-Click : Bird-Click and they can give you individual advice over there. They do expect you to do some independent reading since it's not possible to explain the entire process to every new person who joins. But it's not required to buy the book to join the group and all the information is available in the group's free files. I recommend the book though because it's MUCH better organized and easier to read than the free files.
