Cool distracted by the shiny

So I have a beautiful sun conure companion that was given to me for my 25th birthday. We're bonding very nicely and overall her behavior is quite good. However, she has two bad habits I would like some help with.

1. She loves my platinum wedding band that I never take off (literally never - I even shower with it on). She tries to slip her beak under it and yanks hard. This hurts my finger.

a) Will the platinum be toxic to her in any way?
b) Can I train her to simply be used to the ring and avoid pecking at it?

2. I wear glasses and I cannot see beyond 3" from my face unless I am wearing them. There is a gemstone on the frames that is very appealing to bite if you are a conure.

a) How can I safely get her to let go of them?
b) Can I train her to leave them alone and just ignore the shiny gem?
c) Could my glasses be toxic to her? They are metal of some sort... but I would imagine they should be fairly safe.

Thank you very much in advance. I feel lucky that these are her only behavior issues thus far. Even for a sun conure, she doesn't scream nearly as much as I thought she would.

I would either distract her when she goes after them with something that can be her special shiny thing or say 'uh-oh' and put her on a stand for a little time-out. Both let her know that's not right either by giving her a better option or showing her that messing with them is no fun at all.

Get some little foot toys or non-bite size marbles to let her play with. My friend's conure used to rip holes in her shirts and she made a necklace of beads to wear that her conure can hang off and try to break instead of chewing your shiny things.
