Radio Interview with Karen Pryor (Animal Trainer)

Nice interview with Karen Pryor on my local public radio station this morning. Listen here:
WAMU 88.5 FM American University Radio - The Animal House - Archive Player

She's promoting her new book -- Reaching the Animal Mind: Clicker Training and What It Teaches Us About All Animals -- but really just talking about clicker training generally (how it works, why it works, different kinds of animals she's trained, how animals are hardwired to "learn", etc). It's pretty short, so it won't take a lot of time to listen. (I don't think the host really got the point though. LOL.)

She's most famous for her influential book: Don't Shoot the Dog. Here's a review I wrote about this book which revolutionized how people train their companion animals many, many years ago: "Don't Shoot the Dog" book review.

I may be interested in the new book! I have Don't Shoot the Dog and loved it! Listened to the interview, it was nice and short! And yes, I'm not sure the host got it either!
