I don't think it's up to any human to decide whether two birds can ever be trusted in the vicinity of each other. They either do or don't get along IMO..

I thinks it's fair to let them try each other out though with supervision. I don't think we meant that they are left unsupervised.

If it were a mating bond it would be more simple, both birds are bonded with me and both birds are bonded with my husband, and just generally jealous of each other. LOL
