Fly tecknique Question...

Hi everyone.

when is the time right for the cockatiel fly in the room ?... I tried ... but with no success.. he prefer to stay in the room a little longer.

A few questions spring to mind... How old is your cockatiel? Did it learn to fly as a baby (fledge)? Has the "room" (cage?) been its only place for its entire life?

If the bird has not learned to fly (fledged) then he will probably never learn to fly well - but he could learn to fly in straight lines. Navigation will be a problem.

If it is simply a confidence issue (has only lived in one place) then the bird will need time to become comfortable with the idea of coming out. Treats and encouragement to reward progressive behaviours to coming out in the room...
